I met Ryan in Salton City, California last winter while on a skydiving road trip. I had stumbled into a large paramotor community that spends winter months at an RV park there, and was encouraged to quit putting off training and just park for a couple of weeks and train with one of the schools based at the RV park. Before my class started, I spent a couple of afternoons hanging out with Ryan as he trained a few Marines to fly paramotors. I was impressed by his enthusiasm and obvious knowledge and skill. I knew that although I'd already commited to training with a different school, I'd be spending lots of time with Ryan in the future. As I write this, I'm spending a week at Ryan's new facility in Crystal Beach, Texas. It's large, well-equipped, and even has an on-site RV park with full hookups a few blocks from the beach! Ryan's been very generous and hospitable, and I'm having a really great time here.
